March 30, 2009 - Today is Don's Birthday and the truck arrives with our panels bright and early - 8:00 a.m.  What an exciting day this is......what a GREAT Birthday Present.....a HOUSE!!  I wonder how he's going to top that for my birthday??!!

It was an incredible feeling to see that big truck roll in with our "styrofoam" walls on it.  Of course, we had no idea just how many panels were going to be on that truck or how BIG they were going to be....much less how high they would be stacked!  We had all thought that the crew could just jump up on the bed of that semi and "tote" the panels off.....NOT!  Luckily, Thomas Brothers Lumber had brought out a load of lumber that morning and we had a forklift on hand.  We asked Don Thomas if he would stay and help us unload (of course, we paid them for the rental of the fork for a couple of hours).  Had he not been there.....don't know what we would have done.  Like I've said....we didn't know ANYTHING about this process.....but, we're learning.

So, the truck rolls in and Zack Smith (the driver) started un-securing the panels......everyone is VERY curious about this.....we all stand with much anticipation....everyone, that is, except for Kelly.....she's a pro at this and it doesn't even faze her.

I am about 3 weeks behind in posting pictures, but I have a little surprise for everyone.  I compiled all of the pictures into a couple of movies.....I hope you enjoy them.  They definitely tell a story.

I am diligently working to get everything up to date and appreciate your patience!  Will try to have the roof panel movie up sometime this week, as well as pictures and the day by day description of the progress.
