- There was a break in the rain yesterday, so the electricians came
and put in the wiring that had to go in the gravel. They also
installed the canisters for our floor plus in the living room and
atrium (it's starting to seem real, finally). Now,
Jimmy Abernathy, the concrete guy, and some of his crew are back
to install the Styrofoam over the gravel. I'll bet they had a
lot of fun cutting around all of those pipes and wires. It
took them a couple of days to get all of the Styrofoam
laid.....that's a LOT of pink! After they finished....Don and
Cricket did a "walk-through"....they gave it the okay...looks really
good!

- Today, we met
Scottie
at the site to go over a few measurements for Kelly. This is
the final measurement information that will be taken before the
manufacturer starts cranking out our panels.
Kelly
has specified certain walls that need to be measured to ensure that
we have the correct dimensions to give to
Insulspan. So, armed with Kelly's e-mail and our trusty
measuring tape, we get started. As always, Cricket has to get
in on the action....he HATES tools! We finish up with the
measurements and give Kelly a call.....she's always good for a laugh
or two.
Well...it's time to head
home. We are feeling good about everything....we're ready
for the slab...the panels are headed to fabrication...in a little
over a week our wall panels will be delivered. Don's going
to do a little "ciphering" when we get home.....little did we know
that he would uncover a HUGE mistake!!
